Yellow Clivia Genetics

 

   

1. If a Group 1 yellow is crossed with a Group 1 yellow you will get 100% pigmented seedlings that will flower yellow.


2. If a Group 1 yellow is crossed with a Group 2 yellow it will produce pigmented seedlings and they will flower orange.


3.  If a yellow Group 2 is crossed with a Group 2 yellow you will get 100% unpigmented seedlings that will flower yellow.


4. If a yellow Group 1 is crossed with a peach Group 1 it will produce unpigmented seedlings of yellow, peach or pastel. (That outcome confirms the yellow and peach were Group 1’s)


5. If a yellow Group 2 is crossed with a peach Group 2 it will produce unpigmented seedlings of yellow, peach or pastel. (That outcome confirms the yellow and peach were Group 2’s)


6. If a seedling is unpigmented, the only possible flower results can be yellows, creams, pastels, pinks or peaches.


7. If a seedling is pigmented the flower results can be orange, red, pastel, pink, or peach, depending on the forebears.

Mpumulo Yellow

Group 2 Yellows:
Centani Yellow
Dwesa Yellow
Natal Yellow  ( self Sterile)
