The American Clivia Society is an “Open” membership organization, meaning International members are quite welcome. The American Clivia Society, referred to as “ACS”, prescribes to the belief that all members should be given equal consideration in as many areas of membership as is possible. Geographical separation should not be considered a reason for reduced membership benefits. By conducting our affairs through postings on this web site, community chats, and the Discussion Board, all members will have equal access to articles, information, and relations with others of a like interest. Based in the United States of America, we as an organization are bound by the laws and treaties of the U.S.A. and must adhere to and conduct our business accordingly. We are a nonprofit organization. All monies collected through Society sponsored events will be used for further ACS events and ACS approved research projects. At this time no funds are collected and we are a Society in name only while building our membership base.
The officers and board of the ACS have elected to waive membership fees at this time. When the board feels the society is able to provide value added services to the members a recommendation to institute a membership fee will be considered again. Since there is no current membership fee and we need to quantify our membership base, please help us by either sending an e-mail to the “Contact Us” link or send an e-mail to AmericanCliviaSociety@yahoo.com, stating you would like to become a member. Please send your: Name, Country / Provience, E-mail Address and if you like, although not a requirement: a little about yourself, experience level with Clivia, and what type or form of Clivia you are interested in. If and when a membership fee is instituted you will, of course, be contacted and asked whether you wish to continue your membership. You are in no way obligating yourself to future membership by registering now. By registering you will be contacted when we put together group seed/plant buys for members.
